Established in 1986, Doves Rest (Winter Haven Christian Center, Inc.) is an active Christian based 55+ community.  Our community offers a peaceful and supportive environment for seniors looking to live out their golden years in comfort and companionship or those looking to escape the "winter blues" of the north and bask for a few months in the Florida sun.  Our 129 individually owned sites are perfect for the snowbird or permanent resident.

What amenities are included with my home purchase?

We have a pool, pickleball, shuffleboard, wood shop and Yogi's Hideaway (outdoor pavilion and cooking spot) for the enjoyment of all.  Our clubhouse hosts twice a month potlucks, special holiday meals, crafts, game nights, Bible studies and community meetings.  As a 1/129 owner of these common areas, you can enjoy them at your leisure.

Are pets allowed in the community?

Yes, we welcome pets as part of our community family. We have a fenced in dog walk park on site for you to take you furry friend for a run.  Certain pet restrictions apply, so please inquire for more details.

Does Doves Rest provide assisted living?

No.  While we are a caring Christian community that helps our residents who need a little extra help, we are not an assisted living community.  Residents must be fully functional to enjoy residency.
